Balthazaar's NY

A favorite spot, French bistro done extraordinary, Balthazaar's captures the frenetic energy of SOHO. Post shopping therapy, raw bar aphrodisiac or a weekend get together, the cracked smoky mirror 20 foot vaulted ceilings and tightly packed tables gives you the allure of a crowded noisy place that only new York French emulation can create.

But the food is fantastic! Steak tartare, raw fresh beef with a hint of Dijon and toasted baguettes is an anemic's plate of heaven:

Goat cheese and roasted beet salad, cubed and dosed with a healthy tarragon infused vinaigrette, delicious:

The moules and frittes, mussels marinated in white wine and shallots, with thin crispy fries... Fabulous:

Let's not forget the steak and frittes, a 14 oz steak!

For dessert, ice cream filled profiteroles!

Always a good time at balthazaar's!
