Zerza- NY east village

For a trip to morocco, step inside Zerza, a cozy interior awaits traditional moroccan mint tea and attentive service.

Hummous, red pepper, and spinach mezes for appetizers, the pita bread was a bit too American flour based but the mezes were fantastic and tasty:

Lamb shank cooked with raisins and cinnamon was an attractive choice. Baked to a succulent sweetness, grainy couscous with whole cooked carrots and squash the harmony of sweet and meat was fantastic:

A complimentary dessert because of a Yelp checkin, sadly the fig ice cream was out! A baklava drizzled with honey was brought out instead... Filo tasty, sticky and sweet.

For a comfortable flavorful meal, Zerza brings the flavors of the middle east to the east village.
