Ariana kebab house

If your adventures take you to Mira Mesa, you quickly realize your not in Kansas anymore. Everything around you screams commercialized america... Including the SUVs waiting in line to entrance the freeway. But amongst all the strip malls, the kebab house stands out.

The welcoming staff sets the place apart. Family owned, the service is fantastic. Attentive and efficient.

On this joyous occassion, as there was a mad rush to get to Alice and wonderland, the sambosas were ordered:

Lighter than the standard pastry wrapped fried ball of potatoes or meat, these ones were chickpea based and were definately Chinese wonton paper wrapped, which gave them a hearty lightness. It brought me back to times I've hand made wontons, stuffing them with all kinds of non chinese mixes... The semi sweet green chile sauce was made fresh.

The lamb with sauteed cauliflower and basmati rice was well prepared. The lamb was juicy and sauteed in onions, coriander, cumin and pepper. It's flavorful and simple and well priced, and very much like a home cooked experence.
